Killer Shades was born in 2020 in the heart of Keswick, Ontario, during one of the most challenging times in recent history. When the world shut down, entrepreneur Todd Barry found himself putting his retail consulting agency on hold, as the workforce ground to a halt. Reflecting on his journey, Todd remembered his very first retail job back in 2003 at Upper Canada Mall, where he sold affordable sunglasses. He loved the thrill of styling customers with the latest trends and watching them light up when they found the perfect pair.

That fond memory ignited a new dream, and with his father's inspiration—Kevin Barry, who always said, "Those are some Killer Shades!" whenever he found a stylish pair—Todd brought Killer Shades to life.

Five years later, Killer Shades has grown into a proudly Canadian brand dedicated to delivering the latest in eyewear trends at prices that won’t break the bank. Our mission is simple: to provide Canadians with stylish, affordable sunglasses that make them feel confident and look their best.
